They are typically ballads or reflections on life, love and tragedy. Keith and Pete are old musical collaborators, whose friendship dates back to the late 1970s. Caity joins her dad on harmony vocals for several of the songs in the set and leads the vocals on a few numbers. They are joined on violin by James Hall, who has accompanied them before, and Reini Adelbert, who will be accompanying them for the first time. Andrew James and James Kaye:The duo attracting attention after they posted a video of a live performance on YouTube in 2011. They then went on to record with producer Aron Turest-Swartz (Of Freshly Ground Fame) and began to feature alongside heavy weights such as Ard Matthews, Steve Newman, Farryl Purkiss and GuyButteryin festivals such as the Cape Town Folk Festival & Rocking The Daisies.It is difficult to explain how a guitarist and a drummer (not even half a rock band really) can create music so deeply layered and sonically diverse but this is surely the reason why they were featured in South Africa’s first publication of Rolling Stone and have gathered such a devout following in Cape Town.

Heather Mac has had an illustrious music career spanning over two decades, starting in South Africain the 80’s with rock band, Ella Mental, through the misty hills of Ireland, the sunny side of LA and the glacial lakeof Montreux. Since her return to SA in the early ’90s she has been honing the songs that feature on her new album.

Laurie Levine is a singer-songwriter carving out an original niche in contemporary folk music. Her exciting blend of American roots music and the ‘Nu-Folk’ sound has earned her critical acclaim and a growing audience. She is joined on stage by the dynamic multi-instrumentalist Lize Wiid, whose main instruments are keyboard and accordion. Her haunting backing vocals enhance the hypnotic quality of Laurie’s songs, and her accordion playing creates a rich sound reminiscent of French music.
